Real Estate PRACTICE must be one of the two courses taken. The second is an elective, where a selection can be made from Appraisal, Economics, Escrows, Finance, Loan Brokering, Legal Aspects (Law), and Property Management.
We provide the required courses through the use of Department Of Real Estate approved "Home Study" programs. These courses are by far the quickest and most convenient way to complete this portion of your studies. Each course is "self-paced" and for those motivated, each separate course can be completed in as little as 2-1/2 weeks. Click to see Course Waivers.
Read Textbook and Complete Assignments.
There are 15 reading assignments for each individual course with a short quiz after each assignment. Answers to the assignment questions are provided along with the course and therefore are not submitted to the school for grading.
Take The Final Examination For The Course.
The final examination for each course final may be taken anytime 2-1/2 weeks from date of enrollment. The final is OPEN BOOK and only requires a 60% grade or better to pass. Finals can be taken ONLINE or you may find a person acting as a third party monitor who must be present in the room while taking the test. Example of scheduling finals if taking more than one course: Example, taking 2 courses. You would become eligible
for the first final 2-1/2 weeks after enrolling and the 2nd final after 5 weeks from the date of enrollment.
Proof of Successful Completion
Upon the student receiving a passing grade, the school will email, fax or mail a Certificate of Completion which contains the name of the course, date exam passed, the Department of Real Estate’s course approval number, and the signature of the school official.
Textbooks and Textbook Policy
These are textbooks that usually sell for $55 to $65 each at the colleges and universities. The school makes these books available for $20 each. If the textbook is returned to the school in an unmarked and like new condition within 60 days (per each course taken), the school will refund the $20 fee paid for each returned textbook. If a student already has the required textbook(s) $20 will be deducted from the cost of the course(s).
Expiration of Enrollment Period
Should the one-year term of the agreement expire, the school currently provides for a one year extension of the agreement term for a nominal fee of $25 per course.
